We are a family of 5 with 3 of us being teens Trying to plan a surprise trip as a graduation gift for our oldest son in 2017 this will be our first visit to Disney so when is the best time to come to the parks

Hello Crystal! Thanks for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
What an amazing surprise for your son! Walt Disney World Resort is absolutely the best place for celebrations on Earth, I am sure your family will have a blast.
It is always the right time to go to WDW. Each season has its own charm. I particularly don’t like to go there during Summer, because it gets too hot and humid in Florida, besides, parks tend to be very crowded. From September to early December, I consider the best period to enjoy WDW. Depending on when you go, you can attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Holiday Season decoration brings an extra charm to Disney Parks and Resort Hotels.
There are some websites such as touringplans.com and allears.net I usually check for start planning my Disney vacation. They have useful information regarding parks and crowd calendars. You can always visit the Disney Parks Blog, for official information about special events and Disney updates.
Let us know if you have further questions.
    Have a magical day!
