We are a family of two traveling back to back cruises. Can we request that we have a table on our own?

So glad you came to planDisney with your question, Samantha!

Rotational dining is an ingenious invention, and it’s truly one of the main reasons why my family adores cruising with Captain Mickey. I have always been impressed with our dining team’s attention to detail and exceptional service. Even better, these dining experiences are all included in your cruise reservation.

Traveling as a couple and wanting to add a bit of romance to your nightly dining? I love that idea! So I understand why you’d like to have a private table. For the time being, Disney Cruise Line has decided that Guests will be seated as one family or travel party per table. I found these details under the Know Before You Go link using the On the Ship tab and searched for Dining Experiences. Since you are sailing in May 2022, you may also want to have it noted on your reservations that you would like a table for 2 on both your back-to-back sailings since I do not know how long the current rules will remain in place. You can check updates to the sailing protocols online using this link. I would imagine there will be MINNIE changes in these between now and when you set sail.

Captain Mickey has decided that Guests will have the same table and service team for dinner, and the dining room seating will be staggered to ensure better physical distancing. Your rotational dining schedule and dining times can either be found  using the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app or on the front of your Key to the World card.

I strongly recommend that you also make a reservation at Palo; there will definitely be a table for two awaiting you as well as an exceptional dining experience. This adult-exclusive location is at an extra cost, but SO worth it in my opinion! I find that any meal in Palo is worth every penny because of the stellar service and the delicious dishes. If you would like to leave your dining rotation intact, reserve Palo for brunch instead (available on at-sea days for cruises 4 nights or longer).

Be our guest again here at planDisney if you’d like to chat more about any aspect of your Disney cruise. Hoping you have a wonderful adventure at sea!

    Bon Voyage!
