Another option is to contact an authorized travel planner. This is my preferred option when trying to organize several families. A travel agent will be happy to book your plans and make sure all the details are covered.
If everyone is comfortable booking their own staterooms, this is easily done on the
Disney Cruise Line website. You might choose to get staterooms near or next to each other (connecting rooms are even available!) or you might scatter around the ship if each family has different room/location preferences. By
linking all your reservations, you will be able to make plans together and will be seated together for your
rotational dining.
