My family and I are trying to decide when to visit DisneyWorld. We have looked at the last week of May which includes Memorial Day or the first week in June. Which week would have less crowds?

    Hi Kelli,

Great question. I've traveled over Memorial Day weekend for several years now and it truly is one of my favorite times of the year. A general rule of thumb is to avoid any holiday weekends, but you really won't see a drastic difference in crowds between the two weeks you've referenced. Both will be quite busy (but typically great weather). I always like the idea of getting an extra day out of my trip due to schools and businesses closed on Memorial Day, so I tend to travel during that week. Sunday will likely be the most crowded of that week (day before Memorial Day) so I plan to spend the day lounging by the pool or exploring Downtown Disney. Star Wars Weekends occur in May and June, too, so if you have a young Padawan interested, you'll want to check this out at Disney's Hollywood Studios!

I hope my insight helped, Kelli, and I wish you a magical vacation.
