Family of 5 trying to decide between The Port Orleans Riverside Resort and the All-Star Music Resort family suite. Which has better bus transportation between the resorts and the parks?

    Hi Alice,

In my opinion, bus transportation to the theme parks, Downtown Disney and water parks is basically the same from either of the two resorts you are considering.  All Star Music is located near Animal Kingdom and Port Orleans is closer to Epcot.  Therefore, depending upon which park you are headed to on a given day,  your ride will be a few minutes longer based on which resort your chose.  However, Disney buses run consistently every 15-20 minutes between the resorts and parks, and I would base your decision on the actual resorts, their amenities and your family's preferences.  The family suites at All Star Music are a great option for families who are looking for a bit of extra space.  Each suite has two full baths (I can't think of a family of any size who wouldn't think this was a huge perk) a kitchenette with a fridge and microwave, and a separate living room and master bedroom.  I had an opportunity to tour the suites several times, and would love to stay in one!  Port Orleans Riverside is a moderate resort, with a lovely well-themed main pool and a quick service and table service (sit down) restaurant.  In addition, the rooms are well-appointed and spacious.  A standard room includes a small refrigerator that is convenient for storing some basic groceries.  The All Star properties only have quick service (food court) restaurants, so if your family would like a table service option at your resort, you should take this into consideration.

Whichever property you chose, have a magical trip!
