HI, my family and I are going for a trip to WDW in june 2014. We arem from Montreal, Canada. I was wondering which restaurant in AKL do you suggest for us (me + husband + 14yo boy + 12yo girl). I read all 3 restaurants (JIKO, BOMA and SANA) are great ???

    Hi Anne-Marie,

That may be the hardest question I've answered all year! My family loves them all so let me tell you a little about each to help you decide.

Jiko is the fanciest of the three, a signature dining restaurant with an elegant menu and a terrific wine list. The menu changes seasonally. We've enjoyed great steak, lamb and duck dishes here, as well as interesting appetizers, such as a wild boar tenderloin. Entrees at Jiko usually run between $35 and $45. Appetizers, dessert and drinks are extra.

My family loves the buffet at Boma so much that we chose it for Thanksgiving dinner this year. We appreciate the variety of both the traditional and exotic dishes, though we steer more toward the African-influenced fare, such as the bobotie meat pie. And there's a great selection of dessert tastes, including the trademark zebra domes.

The good thing about a buffet is that it gives you a chance to explore new tastes a little bite at a time. Dinner at Boma is around $40 per person and includes a non-alcoholic drink.

Sanaa's menu features dishes with African and Indian influences, designed to share. For the four of us, we usually get a salad sampler, a vegetable sampler and a couple of meat dishes, along with a selection of breads, to create a family-style meal.

This is the least expensive of the three for us, usually less than $30 each. You should know that there's little on this menu that can be considered "plain". We think that's a big plus, but some diners are taken aback. Unlike the other two, Sanaa offers views of the animals while you dine.

I hope I've given you enough information to make the right choice for your family, based on your tastes. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.

Please let me know if I can do anything else to help. I can talk about Walt Disney World restaurants all day. Enjoy!
