Family trip to WDW in July! This is the first time we will not be renting a car. Will the magical express busses transport you back to your hotel room during extra magic hours? Also my father might want to do the bass fishing ex. Will a bus take us there?

    Hi Ashley,

Family trips are a lot of fun and can be a lot of work. Hopefully, the Disney Parks Moms Panel can give you some tips to make planning easier.

Disney's transportation system is there for you so you do not have to do the driving. This means they will begin running transportation from your resort to the parks one hour prior to park opening. They will continue to run transportation one hour after the park closes. This does include Extra Magic Hours (EMH). Also, the hour rule is based on a specific park. For example, if Magic Kingdom opens at 8:00 am, buses to Magic Kingdom will start at 7. However, if Epcot opens at 9:00 buses will start at 8. The same is true for the return. If Magic Kingdom closes at 11, the last bus will leave Magic Kingdom at 12.

Depending on where your father does bass fishing, this will determine how to get there. Most of the time transportation does not move from resort to resort. Generally, you would need to go to a park and then transfer to a resort. It really is not that hard to do. You simply go to the park that is closest to the resort you need to be at and then head over to the resort.

Fishing locations are located throughout the Walt Disney World Resorts so you may actually be staying at one of these locations.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
