Ben:
You should never say never because you never know what magic you'll find at Walt Disney World, but I've never heard of trick or treating in World Showcase. That's a wonderful idea, however, I would love to taste candy from different cultures around the World.
Halloween is a great holiday to celebrate at Walt Disney World, and
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party is the best place and best way to celebrate Halloween at Disney World. Outside Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, options are limited for trick or treating around Walt Disney World.
In years past, Downtown Disney hosted a party and trick or treating event on Halloween, with shops and restaurants throughout Downtown Disney offering goodies during the evening hours as well as a kids' dance party. However, a few weeks ago, reports emerged that this free trick or treating event will no longer be held as it was getting too crowded for Guest enjoyment. Downtown Disney restaurants will still have fall menu items, and there will be seasonal decorations and enhanced entertainment during October at Downtown Disney. Some entertainment will be listed in a special Times Guide, but the same party atmosphere and trick or treating will not be around this year at Downtown Disney.
Although subject to change, in the past, a handful of Resorts, particularly Fort Wilderness, Wilderness Lodge, and Saratoga Springs, have presented Halloween activities, crafts and games, particularly on Halloween day. If you are staying on property, when you check into your Resort, ask if the Resort is hosting any Halloween themed activities, particularly on Halloween day.
Enjoy your vacation.
