MagicBand+ on Friends; Main Street; pairing

    My family has a trip planned for WDW in November 2025. We each have a Magicband+ from a previous trip in 2022. I’ve read that the battery will give out after a couple of years. Will these Magicbands work correctly in November or will we need new ones?

    And yes, you read that right! MagicBand batteries can last for several years! I actually have a couple from about four years ago that are still going strong. That said, there’s no official warning light to let you know when a battery is on its last leg, so I like to joke that one day it might just decide to retire itself and head off to Wall-E’s treasure pile.

    Definitely bring your existing MagicBands with you on your upcoming Christmas trip! If one happens to stop working while you're there, no worries, you can always swing by a merchandise location at your resort, inside any of the theme parks, or at Disney Springs and pick up a new MagicBand+.

    Before you go, it’s a good idea to double-check that your MagicBands are still listed as active in your My Disney Experience account. To do that, just log in, head to “My Profile,” and click on “MagicBands and Cards.” From there, you can see which bands are linked and active.
