My family has a trip to Disneyland the week of December 15. I noticed Fantasmic Dining Packages are only available on weekends. Does that mean there won’t be any Fantasmic showtimes on weekdays during our visit?

Hi there, Emmily! Welcome to planDisney!

How merry and bright that your family will be visiting the Disneyland Resort during the most magical season of all! December brings a flurry of festive fun—from sparkling décor around every corner to the scent of gingerbread drifting through the air on Main Street, U.S.A.

Right now, you’re correct that Fantasmic! Dining Packages are only appearing on weekends, and the show itself is currently scheduled for Friday and Saturday evenings, with occasional Sunday showings. The full entertainment calendar for your travel week hasn’t quite arrived yet, but based on the recent pattern, it’s possible that schedule will continue until the week of Christmas, when Fantasmic! has traditionally been offered more frequently. My best tip? Keep checking the entertainment schedule in the Disneyland mobile app or online as your visit gets closer—new showtimes are often added about six weeks in advance, and updates can pop up anytime!

If it turns out Fantasmic! isn’t performing on your visit dates, there’s still plenty of holiday magic to light up your evenings! The “Believe… In Holiday Magic” Fireworks Spectacular is a must-see—it fills the sky with dazzling colors, stirring music, and even a touch of snowfall on Main Street, U.S.A. You’ll also want to make time for A Christmas Fantasy Parade, a Disneyland tradition that brings beloved characters, prancing reindeer, and Santa Claus himself down the parade route in grand holiday style.

To make the most of your visit, I recommend checking the Disneyland app early each day for the latest entertainment times and updates, since showtimes can sometimes shift due to weather or other factors. For the fireworks, plan to find your viewing spot around 30 to 45 minutes before showtime if you’d like to see the projections and snowfall effects from the best vantage points, like Main Street, U.S.A.—it’s pure magic from that perspective. And if you’re hopping over to Disney California Adventure Park, don’t miss World of Color Happiness!, a breathtaking nighttime spectacular that celebrates the joy and wonder of Disney and Pixar storytelling through music, fountains, and light.

Emmily, your visit will be overflowing with festive cheer no matter what’s on the schedule. From the jolly sounds of the Disneyland Band to the twinkling lights of “it’s a small world” Holiday, there’s wonder waiting around every corner.

Here’s wishing you a holly-jolly holiday visit filled with joy, laughter, and plenty of Disney magic!
