Hi! I have a family trip to Disneyland and California Adventure coming up and have a family member who prefers non- alcoholic beer. Are there any dining places in the parks that have non- alcoholic beer options, and if so where? Thanks!

Hi Sara! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.

Family trips are the best! I know you all are going to have the best time. Some of my favorite memories with my extended family have been in the parks. Your trip will be here before you know it, so let's get planning.

I'd love to help your family member out with some recommendations of where they can order a non-alcoholic beer while enjoying the parks. My husband sometimes prefers non-alcoholic beer as well, and the good news is there are a few great dining locations in Disney California Adventure Park with it on their menus. One of these locations is for Magic Key holders only. If a member of your party is a Magic Key holder, they can make a reservation at Magic Key Terrace for themselves and up to four Guests. You'll find this dining location in Performance Corner. Also in Performance Corner, Sonoma Terrace and Wine Country Trattoria both offer non-alcoholic beer on their menus. These dining locations are open to all Guests, and Wine Country Trattoria accepts reservations, subject to availability.

Unfortunately, no non-alcoholic beer options are currently offered in Disneyland Park. Your family member can enjoy a non-alcoholic Mint Julep at Blue Bayou Restaurant in New Orleans Square or non-alcoholic concoctions at Oga's Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge if a cocktail sounds tempting, however. These are both wildly popular locations because of their immersive atmospheres. I've enjoyed sipping a Mint Julep in perpetual twilight a time or two, so I highly recommend it! You'll also find non-alcoholic beer and cocktail options at some dining locations in the Downtown Disney District and some of the dining locations at Disneyland Resort Hotels.

These offerings are subject to change and adjustments to menus happen regularly. I suggest downloading the Disneyland mobile app. Not only will it be useful prior to your arrival, but it's also invaluable in the parks. One handy feature is the ability to search the map for nearby dining and view menus for those locations. You can check quickly if a dining location currently offers a non-alcoholic beer or beverage that sounds like a winner to help make your decisions with the group.

    Have a magical day!
