My family and I have a trip in 24 days. My husband and I are pass holders and our kids are not. We are also DVC and had our resort booked but we waited on the purchase of park tickets for the kids. We need help and need to know what to expect.

"Welcome home," Sherry! Thanks so much for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Sherry, as a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member who will also be traveling to the Most Magical Place on Earth in a few weeks, I'm happy to chat with you about what to expect upon arrival.

First, I want to let you know that you are not alone in your question. In addition to my family, I connected with another Disney Vacation Club Member who is in a very similar situation just this week. In regards to tickets for your kids... officially, new ticket sales for the remainder of the year are still on pause. These are set to open "later this summer," however a date has not yet been released, so it IS possible that you will not be able to purchase tickets for your kids before your upcoming stay. Sherry, since my family is experiencing the exact same situation, I'll share some of the conversations in my home.

My husband and I discussed moving our Disney Vacation Club Resort stay since it is likely the parks won't be part of this vacation equation. We ultimately decided that we often talk about how we would like to take full advantage of the resort offerings and so... now is the time! We have talked with our kids about how we will be swimming, playing outdoor games, taking advantage of activities in the community hall and enjoying all of the dining options at Disney Springs. I thought I may hear grumblings of disappointment, but we were rewarded with smiles and joy that we are still able to getaway this summer as a family.

While this vacation may look different, I am confident that the Magic we all feel when we arrive on property at the Walt Disney World Resort will still be there. Before you arrive, make sure to download the newest version of the My Disney Experience Mobile App and read about all of the updated health and safety measures you will see at check-in.

Sherry, I hope this helps as you are preparing for your upcoming trip. Please come back and see us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other questions you might have. We are all EARS.
