We have a family trip coming up but only half of us are staying at a resort. Can the other half come to visit us?

Hey there, Brooke, and welcome to planDisney!

We love a good family trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. I've had family spread out across three different Disney Resort Collection hotels as well as off-property. I've definitely had to figure out ways to hang out.

Your family is welcome to visit you at your hotel to enjoy making memories together. Make sure they have their identification and know which one of you is the lead Guest on the reservation to tell the Cast Member at the gate. Just be aware that resort pools are for guest use only, so you'll need to find some other activities to enjoy. Parking may also be restricted during particularly busy times. I'd suggest making an Advanced Dining Reservation so you all can share a meal while your family comes to see you and eliminate any issues.

Brooke, have a lovely time with your favorite people. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back for another chat!

    Happy planning!
