Hi there my family and I are travelling on the wonder from Auckland to brisbane ( Australian cruise) and was wondering 1) is there an ATM on board? 2) if tipping for room service do we tip in NZ/ Australian or US dollars?

    Hi Chuen Li,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question!

I’m so excited to hear that you’ll be boarding the beautiful Disney Wonder for one of its New Zealand and Australia cruises next year. You’re so lucky that the ship is heading to your backyard! Those itineraries sound absolutely amazing and I’m sure you’re in for a wonderful time.

From what I understand, the Disney Wonder doesn’t currently have an ATM or other cash machine onboard, so you’ll need to rely on services in your ship’s ports of call to get any cash.

Gratuities on the ship, whether pre-paid or for incidentals such as room service are typically paid in US Dollars on other voyages, including European ones. I’d try to find some American dollars prior to your cruise to hand out for tips, just in case. That said, if you don’t have any American cash on hand, I’m sure that Australian or New Zealand dollars would also be fine, especially if your sailing is near the beginning of the Disney Wonder’s voyages in that area.

I hope my answer helps you plan the perfect voyage for you and your family. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions; we’re always happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
