Hello Cheryl! I'm glad you're planning ahead for your dining when you visit Walt Disney World in July. That is a very busy time and you will definitely need to make your reservations up to 180 days prior to your arrival-if you are arriving at the beginning of July, that window is now! The good news is that almost all of the restaurants at Walt Disney Resort can accommodate your group of 14-however, please keep in mind that not all have tables that will seat 14, and your party may be seated at different tables. They usually do their best to have them close to each other, but do not guarantee that will be the case. The easiest way to make your reservations, is to use the online
Disney Dining Reservations website, or you can call
407-WDW-DINE(407-939-3464).
As far as recommendations- for a character meal, my family has always enjoyed the food and meeting Mickey and his friends at Chef Mickey's, located in Disney's Contemporary Resort. I really think your chances of being seated together would be very good at this restaurant.! Another fun dining option, that the boys in your group will definitely enjoy, is the Whispering Canyon Cafe located in Disney's Wilderness Lodge. The waitstaff are always up to something unexpected, and stick ponies and other "wild-west" type fun take place all the time...make sure one of your kids asks for ketchup!
I hope this information is helpful to you Cheryl...please come back to the Moms Panel site and ask me any more questions that may come up while you are planning your magical vacation!
