Hey Ruth!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for sending me your great question about viewing areas for Guests with disabilities in advance of your Walt Disney World Resort family vacation.
Ruth, there are many
accommodations and services available for Guests with disabilities at Walt Disney World Resort. I suggest you visit the previous link to get an idea of the many services available for your prince-in-training. One service that will be particularly helpful for your son is the Disability Access Service which will allow him to return attractions at a later time if he is unable to tolerate long lines.
You will be happy to know that the parade routes and some fireworks shows areas have designated viewing areas for Guests with disabilities. However, these viewing areas are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. We suggest you arrive early, because viewing area space is limited.
Please keep in mind that the viewing area spaces cannot be reserved or guaranteed. If your party contains more than 6 Guests, you may be asked to separate and reunite after the parade or fireworks show.
Ruth, I also recommend you view this
Magic Kingdom Park guide for Guests with disabilities in advance of your magical vacation. You can find guides for Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park on the Services for Guests with Disabilities page linked above.
I hope I have helped answer your questions. Please let me know if I can help answer any other of your great questions. I am all EARS!
With a Sprinkling of Pixie Dust,
Priscila
