My family and I will be travelling in March 2020. As Canadians we travel to the US regularly using just a NEXUS card. Am I able to use this as identification for check in when I arrive? If a passport is not necessary I don't want to get one. Thanks

    Hi Melissa,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question, my fellow Canadian!

My family and I are also proud members of the NEXUS program, so I totally understand wanting to travel to the United States without a passport. I’m happy to say that I’ve used both my NEXUS card and Canadian driver’s license as identification throughout Walt Disney World Resort. Based on my experience, you shouldn’t need a passport in order to check in to your Disney Resort Hotel.

As an aside, I’ve sometimes had issues using the Global Entry terminals at airports when heading into the United States without a valid passport. I’d recommend that you contact your local NEXUS office to make sure that you won’t have any issues at the border, if you’re planning to fly to Orlando for your next vacation.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
