We are a family of 6 travelling to Disney this December for my daughter's birthday and we have chosen 2 hotels for our vacation the Polynesian or Animal Kingdom Lodge but we only have a budget like up to $400. Should we wait until the prices go down??

    Hi, Jen!

I love traveling to Walt Disney World in December. Mickey Mouse sure loves the holidays and goes all out with the decoration of the parks and resorts.

The two resorts you have chosen are both Deluxe Resorts, and therefore at the top of the price range. Even if you find a special offer, it will be difficult to arrange for 6 guests (which means 2 rooms) for under $400 total per night.

I am going to offer up a few suggestions for you that might be more budget friendly, but will still have all the magic of Disney, free resort transportation, Magical Express airport transfers, MagicBands, and more!

-Disney's All-Star Music offers a Value Family Suite that sleeps up to 6 guests. It has a separate bedroom, 2 full bathrooms, and a kitchenette. These rooms will run around $350 per night (subject to dates/availability/rates may change).
-Disney's Art of Animation also offers Value Family Suites. They are similar to All-Star Music, but newer and a bit flashier. These suites will run just about $400 per night (subject to change).
-Book two rooms at any resort, and request they connect. This will give you plenty of room to spread out to accommodate your party of 6. Value rooms start around $150 per night. Moderate Rooms start at around $220 per night.
-Most standard rooms at Disney Resorts accommodate up to 4 guests per room with an additional guest if under age 3 in a pack and play.

I hope you find a room/rooms that suit your family perfectly. Good luck!
