Hi!! My family is traveling to WDW and is thrilled to be together and even more excited to be celebrating my husband's and son's birthdays. We will be at AKL. Could you please recommend a room or section of the hotel with the best Savanah views?

    Jambo Kris!

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. What a fabulous birthday celebration!

I love walking into the lobby of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, because I immediately feel transported to another place.

I prefer the Arusha Savanna, because it generally tends to have the most animal activity, and I like being closer to the lobby. However, some friends really love the Sunset Savanna, but it's on the opposite side from The Mara (food court) and pool. I think it depends on what is most important to you. The animals wander, and sometimes they have a mind of their own, so your views can vary on a daily basis.

If you want to be closer to the lobby or to The Mara, then make sure and add that to your request, too. One of the most relaxing ways to start your day is to sit on your balcony and watch the animals roam. It really does make you appreciate the circle of life.

The great thing about Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is that there are viewing spots all around the resort, so Hakuna Matata, you'll always have a fabulous view!

If you have any other questions, please come back and see us real soon. Wishing your family a magical birthday trip!
