Greetings, Amanda! Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and congratulations on your upcoming family vacation!
I had a fabulous girl’s trip this year, and one of my best friends was a gluten-free diner. She had no problem walking into any of the Walt Disney World Resort restaurants and asking a cast member for an allergy-friendly menu. At table service restaurants, the waiter was properly armed with them (she also called ahead), and at quick-service establishments, they were readily available at the counter. You can see an
example of an allergy friendly menu here, with its vast choices and considerations of many types of allergies. You’ll have plenty of options to tempt your palate!
Walt Disney World Resort takes food allergies seriously, so most locations can accommodate food allergies such as gluten, eggs, fish, dairy, nuts, soy and corn. Many
allergy-friendly menus can assist guests with lifestyle requests such as low-sodium, no-sugar-added or vegetarian options, as well. Each allergy-friendly meal is made to order, right when you order it, so you may need to allow about 10 minutes more than a typical lunch stop, but it will be well worth it!
More information about allergy-friendly dining at Walt Disney World is available to peruse. Special considerations or multiple allergies may need some more attention, so be sure to read up on other policies in case they pertain to you.
I hope your tummy is as full as Pooh Bear’s on your vacation, and you make more memories than he and Christopher Robin! Stop by if you have any more questions about your magical vacation! ~Lindsey
