Hello, my family and I will be traveling to WDW for the first time in April. Our flight gets in at 6am. Is there somewhere we can rest (two children, 5 & 3) until our room is available to check in?

    Hi, Dennis!

You certainly will be the early birds on your arrival day!  But no worries, we will make some plans for you so your little ones (and grown ups, too!) can have some a pleasant first day.

Resort check-in can be as early as 7am. When doing your online check-in, mark that you will be arriving early, and select the option to have your room ready over any room preferences. I would also call the resort directly a few days before your vacation and let them know you are arriving early. Even if all your online check-in is complete, still plan on stopping by the front desk upon arrival so they know you are there with tired kids, and you never know what pixie dust they might find to get you a room as quick as possible.

You have a few options. You can relax in your resort lobby or poolside for a few hours, or you can get the fun started! Once you are checked in, your park tickets, dining credits, and anything else you included with your vacation package will be set to go! If everyone is revved up to go, enjoy the parks for a few hours, and then hopefully your room will be ready in time for a mid-day break.  If you leave your cell phone number, you will receive a text when your room is ready.  Hopefully it will not be too long until you can take a wonderful, magical nap in your beautiful resort room!

    Wishing you a fun-filled vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
