MagicBand+ and Smart Phone

    My family of 4 is traveling to WDW and then Disney Cruise. I have purchased 4 magic band+ wristbands and linked them all to my phone. Each family member has the WDW app but when I try to add the band, it says already claimed. Do they log in as me?

    Your family's magical land and sea adventure is almost here. I recommend packing a multi-USB charger to charge your family's MagicBand+ on your Walt Disney World Resort park days and your mobile devices on your sea days. A sleep mask helps keep me fully charged for our family fun!  

    I believe the tech trouble you are experiencing is a result of members in your travel party having multiple My Disney Experience accounts or account profiles. Your family members are trying to link their MagicBand+ to their accounts but the bands are already linked to My Disney Experience account profiles managed by your account. You can confirm this by taking a look at your family members' names on your Family & Friends list. Anyone whose name appears with the words "Plans managed by me" is not connected to a separate My Disney Experience account. Speaking from experience, remedying this Stitch-uation now will prevent you from spending precious park time at Guest Relations during your visit. Take these steps to merge the My Disney Experience account profiles managed by you with your family member's separate accounts:

    1. Click "Update" next to a family member's name on your Family & Friends list.
    2. Click "Share planning with [first name.]"
    3. Enter the email address associated with your family member's My Disney Experience account and click "Continue."
    4. Ask your family member to accept the email invitation to connect, which will automagically transfer all vacation entitlements (valid admission, theme park reservations, dining reservations, MagicBand+, etc) to their My Disney Experience mobile app. You will remain connected as Family & Friends, which means you can still view and make plans for each other.
    5. Repeat steps 1-4 for each family member.
