My family is traveling to WDW for my daughter birthday 6 adults 3 dif rooms. However one member of the party will not be able to stay the entire length of the trip. We have the DDP, are those credits just wasted? Or can we use her credits first?

    Hi Deondra,

Congratulations to your family for planning such a magical birthday celebration! I have celebrated my birthday several times at Walt Disney World and I can tell you there is nothing more special than celebrating your special day at the most magical place on earth.

I am happy to let you know that your Disney Dining Plan meal and snack credits do not have to be wasted. The Disney Dining Plan meal and snack credits are grouped together for use by any Guest on the reservation. Therefore if one Guest on the reservation leaves early, the other Guests on the reservation may continue to use the credits. The only division of credits is between the child and adult Table-Service credits. Otherwise you will have your credits listed together for snacks, Quick-Service meals, and Table-Service meals and these credits may be used by any person on the reservation.  You will receive a printout after each transaction letting you know the total amount of credits left on your plan. If you have 3 separate reservations (for each room) then each room reservation will have its own Disney Dining Plan credits for use by the Guests listed in its reservation.

Recently the Disney Dining Plan became even more flexible than ever before and now Guests who have the Disney Dining Plan may use their meal or snack credits to pay for another Guest's food. Additionally Quick-Service or Table-Service meal credits may be exchanged for 3 snack credits if done in the same transaction. Personally I love using my snack and leftover Quick-Service credits to purchase snacks to take home. Currently the Mickey Mouse Rice Krispy treats are 1 snack credit and I have been known to bring home a couple of dozen for my friends and my lunchbox.

Thank you for stopping by with your question, please let us know if we can help any further!

    Blessings,
