Hi! My family and I are traveling to Walt Disney World in late August- early September. Do any of the 4 parks do parades anymore during the day time? Also could you inform me of the ones that still happen at night? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Trisha,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Wow - your trip is coming up soon! How exciting.

Yes, there are still two parades during the day. Be sure to check the information on Parades at Walt Disney World Resort. At Disney's Magic Kingdom Theme Park, we just saw the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade and the Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It! Street Party. We did the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade Dining Package at Tony's Town Square Restaurant and had a reserved viewing area for the parade. The viewing area is towards the end of the parade route, so we waited at least 20 minutes for the parade to get to us. The floats are just spectacular but the best part about our viewing area was that several of the dancers spoke directly to our girls. Alice (yes, THE Alice) even told them "I like your ears!"

We also danced along with the Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It! Street Party on our last visit. This is one of our favorite experiences because the music is so much fun. On this last trip, we picked our fireworks viewing location after the last dance party because we saw cast members taping off areas as the parade ended. We chose a location just in front of the castle to the left. A cast member stood on the bridge in front of us to keep guests inside the taped off viewing area.

Trisha, I am sorry to say that, at this time, there is no longer a nighttime parade at the Walt Disney World Resort unless you are there for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. But at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park, you could check out Discovery Island Carnivale - a nighttime dance party. Just check the show times for your visit!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
    Donyell
