My family and I will be traveling to Walt Disney World the end of January. In the past we've stayed at Port Orleans Riverside. This time we would like to try a new moderate resort and we're considering the French Quarter or Carribbean Beach. Which resort?

    Hi Lori:

Port Orleans French Quarter is a wonderful Resort, my favorite of the moderate Resorts. It's small and picturesque, which makes it very relaxing in my view. Though small, the Resort offers a number of activities.  Caribbean Beach Resort is expertly themed also, but has a "bigger" and more of a "bustling" feel for me.  Indeed, because the Resort is so large and spread out, you may have to take inner-Resort transportation staying at Caribbean Beach, so I generally only recommend staying there if you have a car.  The big advantage Caribbean Beach Resort has is its awesome main pool, featuring a pirate theme and water slides.  Pool aside, Port Orleans French Quarter would likely provide a more relaxing vacation spot.

    Enjoy your vacation.
