Hi Meagan!
Welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you stopped by to see us as you start planning your visit to Walt Disney World Resort this year! I always feel like the magic of Disney is best shared with your family and friends, and I’m happy to help you connect with everyone in your travel party so you can make and share plans as a group.
Meagan, when you log into your
My Disney Experience on the Walt Disney World website or
mobile app, you should see your current reservation under "My Plans." You can view who you are already connected with and add additional Guests once you navigate to your
Family & Friends List. On the website, you can search for others by their name or hotel reservation confirmation number. However, my personal preference is to use the app to connect with my friends and family.
When you open the app, you can click the three horizontal lines in the bottom right and navigate to the planning menu. Once you select to view your profile, you'll see an option to view your Family & Friends List. After clicking "Add a Guest" at the bottom of your current list, the app will give you the option to scan a QR code, which they can open for you on their device. You can either scan their QR directly or enter the manual linking code that appears when they access their QR code. They can find their QR code by clicking on "My Profile" in their app. If you're running into any problems with this process, you can always
call the number for App and Magic Band Support or use the online chat feature available on the website for assistance from a Cast Member. I recently needed a little pixie dust to connect with a family member myself, and they were able to assist me faster than Tinker Bell could take flight!
Once everyone in your party is connected, you can view all reservations associated with everyone in your travel party. As you get closer to your trip, you'll also be able to
make dining reservations and
purchase Lightning Lane passes together. If you are staying at the same hotel in the
Disney Resorts Collection, you can contact Disney Resort Reservations by online chat or phone to request either connecting or adjoining rooms. While these requests can't be guaranteed, I've always found that Disney Cast Members do their best to accommodate!
Meagan, I hope this information has been helpful and that you are planning together in no time at all. If you have additional questions or are looking for any recommendations as you continue to get ready for your trip, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney! We're always happy to help!
See ya real soon,
Kristi
