My family will be traveling there soon and I have been hearing conflicting information on coolers. All I could find online was a size requirement. If my cooler is small enough does it need to be a certain type? Soft or hard shell?

    Hi Erica!

Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just around the corner and I'm excited to help you get ready for your trip! Spring is one of my favorite times to enjoy the theme parks and Disney Resort hotels because the beautiful Florida sunshine feels like getting a sneak peek of summer. I hope you are planning to visit the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival during your trip to enjoy the beauty of the season with all five of your senses!

Guests are welcome to bring coolers into the theme parks, provided they are smaller than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high. You are welcome to bring either a hard or soft cooler and both coolers with and without wheels are acceptable. So you have quite a bit of flexibility on the type of cooler you can bring, provided it fits within the size guidelines. Keep in mind that you can't bring any outside alcohol or any glass containers into the theme parks. For additional information and a full list of prohibited items, you can review the Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules.

Erica, as you make the final preparations for your magical vacation, I recommend that you keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog. It's the best place to get announcements about new and returning experiences you will be able to enjoy during your magical vacation. Also, feel free to come back to see us at planDisney if you have additional questions! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
