There is a family traveling that way soon to fulfill their daughters dream. She has recently had a significant progression of a horrible cancer. Is there anything extra special that can be set up for them?

    Hi Jama!
I am sorry to hear of your friends ill health. It is never easy. I am happy to hear, however, that she is able to pursue her dream of visiting Walt Disney World.
Since there are so many factors and variations that are involved in this situation, I think it is best to have the family call (or you can call)  Walt Disney World Guest Services and explain the situation and what their daughter may really wish to have come true. Try to be as specific as possible and understand that you are merely making a request and nothing can be guaranteed. That said, they will do everything they can to try to accommodate this special little princess.
To give an example, we had a family trip back in 2001. We knew it would be my Mom's last trip due to cancer as well. She was born the same year Snow White was released in theaters (1937) and Snow White was her favorite Disney princess. I called Guest Services and explained everything and made a request to simply have Snow White meet my Mom. After a few phone calls back and forth, I was told to be at Guest Services in Magic Kingdom on a certain day at a specific time. Keep in mind I had no idea what was specifically going to happen. Once we were all there, a Cast Member took us to a private room where we waited for a few minutes. Suddenly, in swooped Snow White to hug and greet my Mom and the rest of us and then she proceeded to visit with us for a good 20 minutes. I'll admit it, I cried. It was amazing.
Now, I'm not promising that they still do things like that, or even if your friend is interested in that. What I am saying is that you need to make your/her request known and then let's hope the Magic can happen.
Please let me know if there is anything further I can do to help with this. You can contact me directly through the Moms Panel site.
    Best wishes!! :)
