Hi Wendy,
Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Traveling with another family can add so much to a Walt Disney World vacation. My family does this often, and we enjoy the extra people with whom to experience the magic!
Generally speaking, if you are looking for at least two queen beds in your resort rooms, you should look at moderate or deluxe level resorts at Walt Disney World. Typically, the value level resorts at Walt Disney World are the ones that have double beds. When you search for
Disney Resort hotels, you can choose the resort categories you are considering, so simply do not choose the value level resorts. When you select a resort hotel from this list and view the details for that resort, you will be able to see the types of beds in the rooms.
Let me add one more possibility. Have you considered a
Deluxe Villa resort? At these resorts, eight people can typically fit into a two-bedroom villa. These villas also offer a full kitchen, living room, and washer and dryer right in the villa. My family finds these to be great amenities when traveling in a larger group! You can explore the sleeping surfaces for the villas by clicking on particular resorts as well. Many offer a king size bed in one bedroom, pull-out sofas and/or chairs in the living area, and a bed or two beds and/or a pull-out sofa in the second bedroom. One of my favorite resorts for travel with two families in one, two-bedroom villa is
Disney's Old Key West Resort. This resort is themed to the Florida Keys, and the villas are incredibly spacious.
I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Wendy! Have a wonderful time planning your vacation, and please do let us know if you have any further questions.
