Hi, my family will be traveling to the parks the week of April 25-29. I have 5 children ages 8,7,4,3, and 2. I just can't decide what will be a better park experience for them Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom. Thanks

    Hi Felicia!

Well, I see you will be at Disney World in TWO DAYS! If you haven't made up your mind about the 2 parks yet, let me give you my thoughts...

I LOVE ANIMAL KINGDOM. It is probably my favorite park for Day 2 of a vacation. There are some fantastic shows (Lion King and Nemo), lots of real/live interaction (the 2 walking trails and the Kilimanjaro Safari), some great thrill rides (Dinosaur and Everest). Not to mention the detailed theming (like the Tree of Life and the food!) and the Jammin' Jungle Parade! Plus, a fun playplace for kids (Boneyard). I think it's perfect for ALL ages!

But I LOVE HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS, too! For little kids there is the Disney Junior Live show, the Little Mermaid show, Muppets 3D and a fun playplace (Honey, I Shrunk the Kids!). For older kids and adults there are the BEST thrill rides (Rockin' Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror). There is stuff for boys and girls--Beauty and the Beast live or Indiana Jones Stunt Show! Plus, you can usually end your day with Fantasmic which is THE BEST night time show ever.

The only con to Animal Kingdom is that it's a small (and oftentimes crowded) park that closes earlier than most. The only con to Hollywood Studios is that the BEST stuff there is really more adult-or-older-kid-oriented.

So, did that help? Or make it worse? :)
