Hello, My family and I are traveling from October 24th to the 31st. To celebrate our boys birthdays, the youngest is turning 4 and older one 5. Any recommendations on things that we should def not miss out on while there?

    Hi Jessica,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! The galaxy awaits the arrival of your younglings!

They are the perfect age for so many rides! Be sure you review the Planning Guide for Pre-School Kids and Little Ones to identify the attractions they might like. Then, decide which attractions you will select for your Fast Pass+ rides at each park. Also check the height requirements. When we took our girls at that age (they were 5-years old), we spent the year prior checking height every few months. One of our girls was not quite 40 inches tall and she wanted to be able to ride Soarin'. She just did make it. I will never forget that moment when we went to enter the attraction and a cast member called her over to measure her height. When he gave her the thumbs up to indicate she could ride, she literally jumped up and down!

Second, decide which character meals you will do. I think your boys would enjoy Chef Mickey's, The Crystal Palace, Tusker House and Hollywood & Vine. We either do breakfast or dinner character meals. Just make sure you get autograph books and big pens for them to use - the bigger pens are better to grip. And then actually remember to TAKE the books with you to the restaurant - not that I have EVER forgotten the autograph books (sigh)!

Jessica, here is perhaps the most important piece of advice. If you sense that the Force is strong with your little ones, it may be time for them to test their power with Jedi Training - Trials of the Temple. The Dark Side can be terrifying, however, so a cast member will require each of them to verbally commit to the training to determine their readiness for the test. Our girls are still determined to defeat Darth Vader!

May the Force be with you,
