My family and I will be traveling July 2009, and having 2 year old twins and a five year old I know that we will have to return to the resort to take a break in the day. If the park gets crowded is it possible for us not to be readmitted (we are driving)?

Returning to your resort mid-day is an excellent touring strategy not only to enjoy a rest but also to escape the hottest part of the afternoon.

It is always possible for the park to reach capacity, however this generally happens during holiday periods including Easter spring break and Christmas week.

When the parks are reaching their top capacity levels there are different stages of controlling the crowd influx.

Stage 1 occurs when the parking lot to the park is closed and only guests arriving on WDW transportation are allowed admittance. If staying at a WDW resort, take the bus back to the park!

Stage 2 - Ticket windows are closed. Only those taking WDW transportation and already holding a ticket will be admitted.

Stage 3 - Only annual passholders and guests with WDW resort ID are admitted.

Stage 4 - the park is closed to ALL guests.

These are the stages as I understand them and are subject to change.

I would not worry about re-admittance later in the day unless you are traveling during one of the busy holiday times!
