    we are a family of 4 traveling with a family of 2. All of our ADR's are for 6 people and all on the DDP. I have read that 18% will automatically be added to parties of 6 or more. Can we have the bill split so each family is paying there own gratuities?

    Hi Tonya!

    In our experience, traveling as a larger party, we were always charged the 18% because our party size (meaning our reservation) was for 7.  Even if the bills are split, they are still taking care of you as one party, putting orders in at the same time, serving at the same time, etc.

    Splitting the bill is a great idea because it ensures that the correct amount of credits are being deducted from each account.  In our experience, the 18% did show up on each ticket.
