My family and I are traveling to DW in two weeks.(Jan. 21) How much time for transport. between parks should we allow .We are staying at P. Orleans Riverside. Any idea about how much time from resort to parks? Never been in January before Thanks Valerie

    Hi Valerie,

My family and I absolutely love staying at Port Orleans Riverside.  My sons especially enjoy the main pool there.

Based on my experiences, I think you will be fine if you plan on 45 minutes to get from the resort to a park.  That includes actual transportation time and waiting for the bus to come to the resort in the first place.  However, if you absolutely have to be somewhere at a specific time and you can't be a minute late, then I recommend on "reserving" 60 minutes.

If you have to go from one resort hotel to another, then it could take significantly longer as you will have to transfer at some central location, such as at Downtown Disney or a theme park.  In those cases, I usually recommend that guests take a taxi.  I have found it to be fairly inexpensive and very quick to travel by taxi on Walt Disney World property.

    Have a magical vacation!
