Hi There! My family will be traveling down in August and bringing our 2 yr old son, 6 yr nephew, and 9 yr old nephew. Will Jake and his friends be out then and some of the other characters from Disney Jr.? If so, what type of interactions can we expect?

Jake the Neverland Pirate is indeed available for meet and greets, Cheri.  He makes appearances at the Hollywood & Vine breakfast and lunch buffets.  Additionally, he greets guests in the Animation Courtyard just outside of the Disney Junior - Live on Stage! theater.  Handy Manny is another of the Disney Junior stars you can expect to meet and mingle with in the same area.  These interactions are fairly brief but you can expect the character to pose for a photo with your child(ren) as well as sign an autograph book if you so desire.  Basically, you shouldn't expect much more than a quick hug and hello.  Be sure to check your Times Guide for exact times and locations.  If you'd like to enjoy a character meal with the Disney Junior pals, Hollywood & Vine is the place for you.  June from Little Einsteins, Jake the Neverland Pirate, Handy Manny and Special Agent Oso take time to visit each guest during breakfast and lunch in that restaurant.  These interactions, too, are brief though they typically last a bit longer than a character greeting in the theme park.  During character meals, sometimes the character will tease and play peek-a-boo type games with willing children.  I hope that helps.  Have a great time!

I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language.
