Hi my family of 4 will be traveling to DL Thanksgiving week and staying at the Paradise Pier. I know it's a very busy week. Any suggestions? We plan to get up early and utilize extra magic hrs. We are trying to get a plan for dining without too much $.

    Hi Heather,

We love to visit The Happiest Place on Earth for Thanksgiving too. It's a merry way to start off the season with the Holiday overlay sprinkled through the parks. I'm glad you will be using the "Extra Magic" hours. Be sure to implement Disney’s FASTPASS service when available to optimize your time.

We pack a cooler from home for our room to keep juice in for breakfast. We also bring our own granola bars to fill up on before we start our magical day in the parks to save a little money.

To stay within our budget, we like to make lunch our main meal. Entrees are similar to those on the dinner menu, but the prices are a lot lower. Then for dinner, we order our meals from Counter-service. They have a wide variety of food options in each land like the bacon-wrapped asparagus at The Bengal Barbecue to the N'Awlins salad at the French Market Restaurant. The parks offer an array of cuisine your taste buds will never tire. We order ice water as much as possible to save on our budget. But we celebrate once if possible with one Character Dining meal. Be sure to call Disneyland Dining at (714) 781- DINE, to insure your party has a table.

I hope this helps. Have a magical trip.
