Hello. Our family will be traveling to Disney world in mid September with my DDs age 4.5 years and 16 months. I would like to know your recommendations for must do rides and well as kid friendly counter service restaurants at WDW and HS.

    Hello Kelli,

You're just days away from your big vacation to Disney World. Aren't you so excited?

By the looks of it, I'm guessing you are going to be visiting the Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.

In the Magic Kingdom, we would always head straight to Fantasyland. There you will find Dumbo, The Many Adventure's of Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan's Flight, It's a Small World and many other cherished favorites. That's not to say there aren't other attractions outside of Fantasyland your daughters would not love. Because there's always meeting Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater or Rapunzel in Fairytale Garden too! But Fantasyland is the place to be for kids their age.

My family's go to spots for Quick Service meals inside the Magic Kingdom are Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe and Pecos Bill Tall Tale and Inn. At Cosmic Ray's, there are three bays: burgers, chicken, and sandwiches. So there's bound to be something for everyone on the menu. The last time I visited, they had a burger topped with guacamole. Yum! At Pecos Bill, there's a fixins bar. So your kids can have a burger or chicken sandwich just as they'd like it. Perfect. But I think any Quick Service Restaurant can be considered kid-friendly. Columbia Harbour House is one of my favorites, but my daughter doesn't like seafood so I don't get to eat there as often as I'd like!

In Hollywood Studios, there's Toy Story Mania, Muppet*Vision 3D, Voyage of the Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage. Pick up a Times Guide when you arrive - Fantasmic will surely delight your girls as well!

At the Studios, you can often find my family eating at Pizza Planet because you feel like you're in the movie! Or we're at ABC Commissary. They have a nice variety of food on its menu and it has indoor seating which is a nice break from the Florida sun.

I hope you and your Princesses have a wonderful trip! Hope this helps!

Meet the Panelist: Monina, Ohio

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
