Hi, Jennifer! Welcome back to Walt Disney World! A lot has changed at Disney since your last visit in 1988, but all the magic is still waiting for you! You will be happy to re-visit Disney Classics such as Pirates of the Caribbean, it's a small world, Spaceship Earth, and more. These attractions have had make-overs to keep them looking fresh, but they are truly not to be missed! New for you will be 2 entire theme parks: Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom. What fun you are going to have exploring.
I suggest you do some research. Look through websites like
www.disneyworld.com and
www.allears.net. Sign up for e-newsletters to keep up on what's happening during your stay. Many internet sites will offer touring plans and recommendations to make your trip run smoothly.
My tips for you: Pick 2 or 3 attractions at each park you don't want to miss. For Hollywood Studios, my favorites include Tower of Terror, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and Toy Story Mania. For Animal Kingdom, hop on Kilimanjaro Safari, Expedition Everest, and Tough to be a Bug. At Magic Kingdom an Epcot, pick some you remember as a child - it will bring back great memories for you!
You are within your booking window for Advance Dining Reservations. Again, look through your dining options on the Disney site and call (407)WDW-DINE to book some wonderful dining experiences. You can also book on-line.
Remember: Disney has really grown since your last visit. You will not be able to see everything, so don't stress out about it. This is a vacation, so take breaks, enjoy your resort, and soak in all the magic Disney has to offer.
I hope you and your family have a great vacation. I'll be in WDW that weekend with many moms from the Moms Panel , so say "HI" if you see us!
