Our family is traveling to Disney World during Spring Break, 3/26-3/30/17. We are traveling with a 9, 8, and 6 year old. We are looking at staying at Port Orleans, Riverside. We are a bit concerned about the time to take the bus. Any feedback?

    Hi Christina,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Mickey and Minnie Mouse are so tickled that you are coming to see them at the Walt Disney World Resort! Disney's Port Orleans - Riverside is a beautiful resort hotel with lovely amenities.

I would suggest that you give yourself 20-30 minutes to travel by bus to the Parks. The ride to Animal Kingdom will take the longest. Also remember to give yourself time to walk from your resort hotel room to the bus stop. I do recommend that you allow more time to get to an Advanced Dining Reservation or Fast Pass+ Reservation. My standard suggestion is to allot at least 45 minutes to one hour. Remember also that crowds are heavier just before and at parade and fireworks times. Certain pathways could be blocked, so it may take you longer to get to a dining or ride reservation.

We have stayed at Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter in the past and completely enjoyed our stay. The travel time on the buses was reasonable. Remember also that you can take a Water Taxi from Port Orleans - Riverside to Disney Springs.

As a side note, I hope you have made Advanced Dining Reservations. Restaurants fill quickly, especially for Character Meals! Some of our favorite character meals are Chef Mickey's, Cinderella's Royal Table, Crystal Palace, and 1900 Park Fare.

Sending pixie dust your way that your bus rides are quick and hassle free!
