My family is traveling to Disney world in December 2015. It will be my husband, myself and our 3 girls (8,6, and 2). Would we be able to stay in the little mermaid standard room or have to get a suite at the art of animation hotel?

    Hi Pamela!

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I think your girls will love Disney's Art of Animation Resort, especially if they are Little Mermaid fans. Your family meets the allowable occupancy in a standard Little Mermaid room as long as your youngest daughter is under 3. I have stayed in a standard room at a Disney Value Resort with the same number of people, and while definitely tight, it was feasible.

You will also be able to use the fabulous amenities at Disney's Art of Animation Resort. I am a huge fan of the quick-service dining location there, Landscape of Flavors. Fresh pasta cooked in front of you? Yes, please! There are also 3 pools available, including one that is the largest resort pool in the Walt Disney World Resort. It has a zero-entry depth pool, which is fantastic for little Nemos who aren't strong swimmers yet.

If you have any other questions, please come back and see us real soon at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Have a magical, fantastical vacation!
