Hello Susan! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
One of my
favorite benefits of staying on at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel is the Complimentary Resort Transportation. The ability to leave the transportation duties in the capable hands of Cast Members is something I look forward to one every occasion. For every vacation I have taken with my kids, they have ridden in regular seats on the buses, boats and monorails that transport you from location to location at Walt Disney World Resort (or on Daddy's lap).
I have never taken a car seat, nor have I required one during a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. The only time it became an issue is when I was hoping to make a trip from one resort hotel to another a little "easier" by taking a taxi. In the time that it took my specially ordered taxi that could accommodate 1 car seat and 1 booster seat arrived and we were safely on the move, we would have already made our initial Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park stop, and been transferring to the shuttle to transport us to our desired resort.
Instead of a car seat, I recommend taking a stroller with you on your travels to account for tired little legs. There is room
on board Disney Complimentary Resort Transportation to accommodate strollers and they are far more useful on a trip than a car seat. Please note that children will need to vacate a stroller upon entering a bus or boat, however children can remain in a stroller on the monorail.
Be sure to take advantage of the Baby Care Centers located in each of the 4 Walt Disney World Theme Parks
if your 3-year old requires a quiet place to recharge. Have a Magical Vacation!
