Hi there, Bilal!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited for your family’s upcoming Alaskan adventure! If you have yet to visit Alaska, you are in for a
WONDERful treat! My family cruised through Alaska a few years ago and are actually headed back this summer and will be debarking the morning that you embark! We are anxiously counting down the days and I know you are too!
The onboard swimming pools are heated if the temperatures dip below 75 degrees, so as long as you and your little ones can handle the outside temperatures and the water temps, swimming is an option! While the weather is not always predictable, when we visited previously, we were pleasantly surprised with fairly mild temperatures! But we always come prepared with swimming suits because my boys are often braver than I am and will want to swim even in cooler temperatures! Towels and life vests are available by the pools, so no need to pack any of those with you! Please be advised that swim diapers are not permitted in the
onboard pools, so if your little one is not quite potty-trained you will need to keep to the splash pad area, which is plenty fun for the littlest Mouseketeers!
Hopefully you’ve planned out your Port Adventures and secured your spots for some exciting excursions! If you are still debating what to do (we certainly are!), I do recommend making a point to visit the Mendenhall Glacier and the
Dog Sled Summer Camp! The glacier is just magnificent, and the Dog Camp is so fun for littles!
Wishing you an adventure filled with many magical memories!
Happy Sailing!
