    My family of 6 and I will be traveling to Disney from May 17-21. What is the weather generally like at that time? And are there any special events at this time? Thanks!

    Hi Thomas,

    I love visiting WDW during the month of May before the extreme summer heat has arrived and before many of the schools have begun summer vacation.  The average daily temperature in May is 77 degrees, with average lows of 66 degrees and average highs of 88 degrees. On average, there is 3.9" of rain in May.  I'd encourage you to check the weather forecast prior to arrival; I use www.weather.com before our trips.  

    One of the bonuses of visiting is May is that you'll be able to enjoy the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, which ends on May 20, 2012.  Meanwhile, here's a sneak peek at the unique topiaries you'll find at this event.
