Welcome, Grace!
Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We are thrilled to hear from you and even more excited to know you will soon be visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. How magical!
I also have a bit of an age gap between my kiddos, so we've used the
Rider Switch Service many times over the years. It's seriously such an awesome feature for those traveling with Guests not quite big enough or able to ride certain attractions. To use it, you'll simply approach the Cast Member at the entrance of the participating attraction, with your entire party, and ask for a Rider Switch Pass. Then, one of you will wait with the non-rider(s) while the others ride. When they are finished, you'll simply switch and not have to wait in the regular line again. Unfortunately, the waiting area for most attractions is outside and you'll not be able to wait in line together, but you can wait with one of your older kids and then take them back on with you. Each Rider Switch Pass allows two Guests, so my hubby and I like to divide and conquer. I'll wait with our oldest and youngest, while he takes our middle son, and then I'll ride with my oldest after they are done. On the next attraction, we'll switch and that way we each get turns riding with both older kids. It works out great for all of us!
Have a wonderful vacation, Grace! If you have any other questions or need any recommendations for a magical trip, please let us know.
