Hi, there!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kellie. We're so glad you stopped by!
My family made our first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort as a party of five last summer. My husband and I quickly realized there were a few logistics we had to work out now that we were outnumbered in the theme parks! Our youngest is just an infant, so we would tag team with our two oldest kiddos for attractions our little one is just
too little for. We relied on Disney's
Rider Switch service quite a few times, but I'm not sure your crew needs it! As long as your 5-year olds meet the height requirements, you'll be happy to know that your family of five can experience the thrill attractions together as a group. On attractions with bucket seating, like Slinky Dog Dash, one 5-year old can be seated with one parent, the other 5-year old can be seated with the other parent, and the 7-year old can be seated as a single rider (
to board an attraction, children under age 7 must be accompanied by a person age 14-years or older). Your 7-year old wouldn't be riding
completely alone, don't worry! Your family would be seated among three rows, so your biggest kiddo would have one parent-sibling pair directly ahead and one pair just a row behind.
If you're concerned at any time about seating arrangements for your family, I encourage you to chat with the Cast Members standing at the entrance of an attraction. They'll be happy to answer any questions and provide suggestions to make sure your group is making the most out of your precious time in the theme parks!
I hope this was helpful, Kellie. If you have any other questions about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, please let me know. I'd love to help you plan a magical visit!
