My family is traveling to Disney in early December. We would like to see the Candlelight Processional, but do not have the dining package. In your opinion, out of the 3 show times, which would be the least crowded? And how early should we line up? Thanks.

    Hi Sylvona!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You and your family have picked the most magical time of the year to visit Walt Disney World Resort! I love beginning the holiday season at Walt Disney World. There is always magic throughout all four theme parks year-round, however I feel there's a little extra pixie dust during the holiday season!

The Candlelight Processional is one of my favorite events at Walt Disney World Resort during the holidays. The gorgeous music performed by a phenomenal orchestra and choir, accompanied by the narration of the story of Christmas, gives me goosebumps just thinking about it! I have been to the Candlelight Processional many times and every show, no matter which performance time, has always been completely filled. With that being said, I believe you'll have the best chance of getting into the 5:00 p.m. show if you enter the queue around two hours before the start of the show. The later times often have spillover from Guests who were in line trying to see earlier shows, but weren't able to get a seat. I also want to mention that the celebrity narrators influence the attendance of the show, too. For example, Neil Patrick Harris is quite popular and in the past, Guests have started lining up for Candlelight Processionals that he is narrating multiple hours before.

Sylvona, I hope my opinions and thoughts were able to help you plan your visit to Epcot for the Candlelight Processional! If you have any additional questions before your holiday visit, please come back and visit us again!
