Hi! My family and I will be traveling on the Disney Dream(Jul 19-24) and we are big Marvel fans. We know the new Fantastic 4 movie will release in theaters on July 25th and was wondering if it will be available while we are on the Dream?

Ahoy there, Sabrina, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like your upcoming 5-Night Western Caribbean Cruise will be an epic adventure, and as a fellow Marvel fan, I completely understand your excitement about what may be showing in the Buena Vista Theatre during your sailing. You’re cruising July 19–24, just ahead of the theatrical release of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, so let’s take a peek into what’s possible (without needing the Time Stone!).

While Disney Cruise Line does show current and recently released films onboard (including Marvel blockbusters), the exact movie schedule is typically confirmed closer to the sailing date. While entertainment is always subject to change, here are the current films playing on the Disney Dream:
    - Elio
    - Inside Out 2
    - Lilo & Stitch
    - Moana 2
    - Mufasa: The Lion King
    - Captain America: Brave New World
    - Magic of Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point
    - Magic of the Disney Treasure
    - Snow White (Live Action)
    - Thunderbolts*
Remember, you’ll be able to find the most up-to-date list once you board by checking the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.

Although it’s not guaranteed, I’ve been on sailings where I’ve seen new releases premiere at sea (sometimes at Midnight the night before their theatrical release date). So keep your hopes high and your popcorn ready; it’s not out of the question that Marvel’s First Family could be making a surprise appearance on screen!

Regardless of what’s playing, your time on the Disney Dream will be packed with action, laughs, and heroic moments. Whether you’re defending your stateroom from Thanos-level messes or assembling at dinner like the Avengers, there’s something so special about watching a Marvel film at sea. Be sure to arrive at the theatre a little early for the best seats (and to take advantage of those reasonable refill prices when you buy a cute character popcorn bucket onboard).

Wishing you a MARVEL-ous time on your upcoming voyage! If any more questions come flying your way faster than Iron Man in flight, we’re always here at planDisney ready to help you suit up for adventure.

    SEA ya real soon!
