My family and I are traveling in the beginning of November. From what I understand the timing should be great at this time. What can yo tell me about this time of the year? Crowds? Clothings? Etc.?

    Hi there, Tracey!

You've picked a great time of the year to visit the Walt Disney World Resort! The weather in November is typically mild, with highs around 79 and lows around 59 degrees fahrenheit. That's still pool weather in my opinion, so I'd definitely bring swimsuits! I also recommend bringing layers for that time of year. Shorts and tee shirts for the daytime, and a light jacket, possibly even long pants for the evenings. I'd even bring a long-sleeved, light tee shirt just to be on the safe side!

As far as crowds go, my experience during the beginning of November has been very mild. Now, keep in mind that Disney announces specials periodically throughout the year that can often make a little difference in how busy the Parks will be. It definitely won't be as busy as, say the actual week of Thanksgiving.

One of my very favorite things to do during November is to visit some of the Disney Resorts because the decorations are over the top! There is even a holiday tree in each of the Resort lobbies and the ornaments on them are just exquisite! We like to take a couple hours in the afternoon and visit the monorail loop Resorts [Contemporary, Polynesian, and Grand Floridian] just for fun! Also, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party will be going on during select nights of your vacation. The party requires a special ticket and Magic Kingdom Park will close at 7:00 p.m. to regular Park Guests and remain open for party-goers until midnight! There is a special parade, special fireworks show, and hot cocoa and sugar cookies are available throughout the Park! It's not-to-be-missed if you can squeeze it in!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Moms Panel, Tracey! Please feel free to come back and see us if we can help with any other questions you think of!

    Have a Pixie Dusted vacation!
