HI- Family will be touring Animal Kingdom on 12/2. I'ver read that early morning is best for Kilimanjaro safaris because the animals are most active, I'm wondering if this is true year round? Trying to decide to go to Everest or Safaris first?

Hi Kristen! I've always heard that the animals at the Kilimanjaro Safaris attraction are most active in the mornings too, so I used to always head straight to that attraction when I entered the Animal Kingdom. However, I've since ridden the Safaris in the late morning, at midday, and in the afternoons, and I've discovered that the animals are just as active at those times of day. In fact, I've often seen even more animals later in the day than in the mornings. So, honestly, I think you're going to have a great experience on this attraction, no matter what time of day you ride. For this reason, I'd recommend that you head to Expedition Everest first so you can ride when the line is shortest, and then make your way over to the Safaris. If you grab a Fast Pass before riding the Safaris, you can come back later in the day to ride again and test this theory yourself to see if the animals are less active later. I think you'll be amazed at how different this ride is each time you experience it and at the number of animals you'll see!
