My family took our first trip in June. We were looking to book off season when it would be cooler and I thought less expensive. I was pricing rooms in late February and the rooms were more than what we paid in June for NOR. Should we wait and check later?

    Hi Wendy,

I am always on the hunt for great deals! Planning a trip to Walt Disney World on a budget is both smart and satisfying if you ask me.

If you are looking to take advantage of discounts, you may want to wait a bit longer to make your room reservations. The current Special Offers only run to the end of the year so if there will be any early 2017 offers, they may begin to roll out in the coming months. There is no guarantee of an early spring discount, but if past years are any indication, I think you may see something that works for you.

February is a great time to visit Walt Disney World, especially if your dates are flexible. I recommend staying on weekday nights whenever possible and do your best to avoid holidays to make the most of your savings.

Make sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog as well as the Special Offers page for current discounts and deals.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Wendy. Here's to a magical vacation!

    Happy planning,

    Andrea U.
